We asked our readers who they thought were leading the field in the continental market this year. Here we present the results.
We polled thousands of our readers who either worked directly in the European market or who were involved in European business and asked them to nominate the companies and individuals they believe to be the leaders in our various categories.
The results have proved to be very interesting, with some familiar faces and also some new arrivals to the awards. In terms of regular showings, Allianz have picked up three of the four insurance awards, along with Michael Diekmann, its CEO, winning the prize for best insurance boss for the second time in two years.
Another CEO who did well was Nikolaus von Bomhard, who has also won the prize for best reinsurance leader for the second year in a row, with his company Munich Re completely dominating the reinsurance results, taking all the prizes.
