The London Market has tried and failed to modernise many times. Steve Williams, sales director, EMEA at Xuber, part of CSC, believes things have now finally changed and the market will be forced to modernise in the very near future as he told Intelligent Insurer.
Veterans of the London Market know that the idea that change and efficiency are necessary for the market has been a long accepted truth since the very earliest versions of technology and electronic platforms were available.
While on the whole, the market is comfortable with familiarity and tradition, there have always been modernisers who have wanted that cutting edge—to be one step ahead of other markets.
Time and again attempts at change have failed, yet the attempts continue and become more persuasive each year.
