ACE appoints Indonesia insurance head

ACE Group has appointed Edward Ler as the president director for its Indonesian general insurance business.

He will report to Juan Luis Ortega, regional president for ACE in Asia Pacific.

Ler previously held the role of regional head of personal lines and business insurance. Prior to joining ACE in 2013, he worked in RSA Group as the regional director for underwriting, claims and reinsurance.

Ortega said: “With Indonesia as a strategic growth country for ACE Group, Edward’s depth and breadth of insurance industry experience will be well tapped. He is a hands-on, result-oriented professional who is clearly energised by challenges.

“As an internationalist, he has a sharpened ability to adapt to new cultures, seize opportunities and drive growth. I have no doubt that under Edward’s leadership, our Indonesian business will scale to new heights of growth.”
