ACE appoints Sub-Saharan Africa distribution head
ACE Insurance South Africa has appointed Milenko Skoro as head of distribution in Sub-Saharan Africa as the company continues to strengthen its insurance capabilities in the region.
He will remain based in ACE’s Sandton office, reporting to Gary Jack, county president for ACE South Africa.
Skoro, who formerly served as head of sales and distribution accident and health in the region, will be responsible for strengthening ACE’s presence in Sub-Saharan Africa. He will focus on generating profitable growth for ACE through effective new product development and distribution through reinsurance arrangements with locally licensed partners in the region.
He joined ACE from Etana, where he served as head of accident and health. Previously, he held several management roles at AIG.
Jack said: “Milenko’s appointment underscores our commitment to growing our footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa. Milenko, brings excellent relationship and business development skills and is well positioned to identify opportunities and build long-term mutually beneficially partnerships throughout the Sub-Saharan region."
