AIG rebrands SunAmerica Mutual Funds

The American International Group (AIG) has rebranded its retail mutual funds arm SunAmerica Mutual Funds to AIG Funds, effective February-end.

The transition aligns AIG's retail mutual fund family more closely, enabling the company to provide diversified investment and income products under a single brand, with an exception of SunAmerica Asset Management.

“We are committed to creating a leaner, more profitable and focused insurer,” said Kevin Hogan, executive vice president and chief executive officer of AIG’s consumer insurance.

“By aligning the SunAmerica brand more closely with AIG, we are able to leverage the strength and scale to build greater awareness and visibility among our core audience of financial professionals and consumers.”

Following the rebranding of SunAmerica's series, specialty, and funds including equity, income, money market and senior floating rate, the company is likely to launch its new website.
