AJG acquires professional liability MGA

Arthur J. Gallagher (AJG) has acquired New Jersey-based managing general agent (MGA) The Plus Companies (TPC).

Established in 1985, TPC is a MGA and programme manager which provides non-medical, professional liability and umbrella insurance products and services to their independent insurance agent and broker clients throughout the US.

It specialises in liability programs for lawyers, architects, engineers, insurance agents and brokers, surplus lines brokers, managing general agents and title insurance and escrow agents.

Robert Ciuffreda and his associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services, a subsidiary of AJG.
