AJG appoints chief information officer
Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) has appointed Sean Connelly as its global chief information officer (CIO). He succeeds Eric Dean, who will retire in June.
He will be responsible for “leading the company's global technology strategy and initiatives, overseeing the development and deployment of enterprise-wide standards for applications and infrastructure, and aligning IT objectives and programs with corporate strategies”.
Connelly will report to Douglas Howell, AJG’s chief financial officer.
He joins from investment and advisory firm Guggenheim Partners, where he served as CIO and senior managing director.
"We are pleased to welcome Sean to our management team. His expertise and his extensive experience as a financial services industry CIO will be outstanding assets as we continue to expand our global enterprise," said Howell. "We would also like to thank Eric Dean for his great work in establishing a stable, efficient and scalable operating platform for Gallagher. We wish him well in his retirement."
