Allied World appoints former AIG energy exec

Allied World Global Markets, a subsidiary of Allied World, has appointed Rob Kuchinski as its senior vice president, head of international property.

Kuchinski will be based in London and report to Julian James, president of the company and has worked at AIG since April 2000.

He most recently served as AIG’s global property executive, where he was responsible for the leadership, strategic planning and profitability of the commercial and energy property businesses across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He has had over 29 years of experience in the insurance industry and his expertise spans engineering, underwriting, and distribution disciplines.

James said: “This is a significant appointment for our Global Markets platform as we continue to invest in a more comprehensive property offering that provides the relevant coverages for today’s changing market needs.

“Rob’s wealth of experience, combined with his profile in the market, will be a key asset as we develop new property products to round out our book of business, enabling us to better service our clients.”
