Altitude hires Starr Aviation exec for senior underwriter role
Altitude Risk Partners (Altitude), the global aviation and space underwriting business, has expanded its general aviation capabilities with the appointment of Martin Audis as senior underwriter.
Audis joins the firm from Starr Aviation where he was a senior underwriter for general aviation business. He has more than 15 years of experience in building and developing general aviation portfolios in the Lloyd’s market. His 25-year insurance career also includes reinsurance recoveries and claims broking within Lloyd’s and the company markets.
Altitude was launched in 2014 as the first underwriting cell to utilise Castel’s club-style managing general agent (MGA) formation platform. With capacity from Barbican Syndicate 1955, HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG and Sompo Japan Insurance on a quota share basis, Altitude underwrites airlines, manufacturing products, general aviation, war and space business.
