American Integrity hires former XL Catlin exec into risk management role

American Integrity Insurance (American Integrity), homeowner insurer, has appointed Gloria Hendrickson as its senior vice president (SVP) of risk management.

Hendrickson will be responsible for risk management issues that directly affect the direction of the company.

Hendrickson will lead catastrophe modelling capabilities, working with all the facets of the company, including pricing and underwriting. She will also ensure American Integrity has an immediate response in the wake of a natural disaster, such as a hurricanes.

She will also provide actuarial direction in the development of products to make sure that American Integrity’s policyholders and future customers are offered the home insurance needed to today’s market.

Hendrickson has had over 20 years of insurance experience, including managing both insurance and reinsurance pricing and accumulation as assistant director of catastrophe risk and accumulation at XL Catlin in Atlanta.

Her career started as a catastrophe modeller at Munich Re, where she stayed at the forefront of their catastrophe risk management department for 10 years.

Hendrickson was previously vice president and catastrophe modelling manager for the specialty property unit of Hallmark Financial in Atlanta. She was in charge of creating best practices, process, and procedures for catastrophe modelling and risk accumulation to help with the needs of underwriting, actuarial, claims and finance.

Her role included capital modelling and price monitoring, development of long-term business plans, and she was the key reinsurance intermediary contact regarding catastrophe modelling and reinsurance needs.
