Antares Syndicate to supply capacity to Iron-Starr Excess Agency

Insurer Ironshore has announced that Antares Syndicate 1274 at Lloyd’s will join as a subscribing insurer for Iron-Starr Excess Agency.

Iron-Starr, based in Bermuda, is a managing general agency (MGA) that underwrites specialty lines of business on behalf of Ironshore Insurance., Starr Insurance & Reinsurance and Hamilton Re.

Iron-Starr was founded in 2009 to deliver syndicated capacity to clients for excess liability products through a single access point in the Bermuda jurisdiction, recognised as a central market for purchasing such insurance programmes. Iron-Starr specialty product lines include excess casualty, financial lines and healthcare.

Antares Syndicate 1274 at Lloyd’s is managed by Antares Managing Agency, a Qatar Insurance Company Group company.
