Aon activates Ebola response task force

Aon has activated an Ebola response task force, a team comprised of risk and health professionals across the firm.

This team is monitoring the current Ebola outbreak and providing guidance to clients directly and through the Aon Ebola response room, which provides insight on the situation, specifically as it relates to Ebola-related risk exposures, duty of care and human capital concerns.

“The Ebola situation is evolving rapidly and warrants constant vigilance to say informed on the issue,” said Nancy Green, executive vice president with Aon Risk Solutions. “With many tools at our disposal, including the Aon Ebola Response Room, the team at Aon is poised to assist clients to understand and be prepared for potential exposures.”

Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aon, along with the Aon WorldAware Operations Center, has launched a re-call crisis centre, a new feature to support clients impacted by a recall or contamination crisis.

This hotline is designed to provide policy owners with a single source of information to facilitate the prompt activation of crisis management services available via their insurance policy.

“Clients should have us on speed dial for when a recall or contamination occurs,” said Bernie Steves, Aon Risk Solutions’ crisis management practice leader. “We are open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and act as a hub to coordinate all the necessary steps, including policy review, contacting the insurers and the crisis management and claims teams.”
