Aon UK appoints chair

Aon UK has appointed Simon Jeffreys as non-executive chairman of the board.

He succeeds Bruce Carnegie-Brown who was appointed in 2012.

Jeffreys has served as a non-executive director of the Aon UK board since May 2009 and is the current chairman of the audit committee.

He has previously served as chief operating officer at the Welcome Trust as well as serving as group chief administrative officer of Fidelity Group.
