ARAG bolsters underwriting team with three hires

Legal expenses provider ARAG has expanded its underwriting team with three appointments.

Andy Dyer joins the company as underwriting operations manager, bringing with him over 20 years of insurance industry experience, the majority of which has been gained in the legal expenses sector.

Dyer said: "This is a fascinating time for the future of the legal expenses market. with ever-increasing customer expectations and a swathe of fundamental changes in the industry. I'm very excited to join a business at the forefront of the sector, where I will have the opportunity to play a part in shaping that future."

Also joining underwriting team is Ryan Smith, who takes on the role of ATE technical underwriting manager.

Smith brings over 15 years of insurance experience, more than half of which has been spent as an ATE underwriter.

He said: "I wanted to work for ARAG because the company has a reputation for being innovative and for focusing heavily on customer service. It's a growing team, bringing in a lot of experience and the company is clearly investing in this particular part of the market."

Also new to the underwriting team is ATE technical underwriter, Tom Hunt. Tom has worked in the insurance industry for over four years, the last two of which have been spent as an assistant legal expenses underwriter.
