Argenta chair & MD to step down

Insurance investment advisor Argenta Private Capital (APCL) has confirmed that two of its senior executives are set to step down.

Graham White, executive chairman, will retire in August. He is succeeded by David Monksfield.

White will remain on the board of Argenta as a non-executive director and senior advisor to the business.

Monksfield has been with the company since 2000, when he joined as a director. More recently, he has taken on the role as Head of Client Management.

In addition, David Williams will be leaving his position as managing director of Argenta Private Capital.

Andrew Annandale, chief executive of Argenta, said: “We are sorry that Graham has decided to step down from his APCL executive duties but delighted to retain his wise counsel at group level.

“He has been a towering figure at Argenta and in the wider Lloyd’s market for more than 40 years. His roles have encompassed both the members’ and managing agency sectors as well as broking and a number of successful terms as both a Lloyd’s council member and deputy chairman of the society.”

“David Monksfield has been with APCL for 15 years and his in-depth knowledge of the company and its clients combined with his understanding of the Lloyd’s market make him the natural successor as chairman. I would also like to thank David Williams for the contribution he has made during his time at Argenta and wish him all the best in his future career.”
