Argo hires Catlin exec

Argo has expanded its general liability offering with the appointment of Nick Lawrence as general liability class underwriter.

He will report to Paul Kneafsey, head of casualty and takes up his role with immediate effect.

Lawrence joins Argo from Catlin where he spent more than a decade writing general liability business, most recently as class underwriter. In this role, he was responsible for a leading account writing a combination of delegated authority and facultative open market re/insurance business on both a primary and excess basis.

Kneafsey said: “Nick is the ideal candidate to lead our general liability team. He brings a wealth of experience to the role and has built a strong reputation based on underwriting expertise and technical proficiency. His extensive market knowledge and contacts will be a great asset in developing our general liability account. I am very pleased to welcome Nick to Argo."
