ArgoGlobal casualty head steps down

Paul Kneafsey, the casualty head at ArgoGlobal, the Lloyd’s insurer and member of Argo Group, has stepped down.

He will be succeeded by Ryan Barnes who will serve as head of casualty for Syndicate 1200. Barnes will report to Bruno Ritchie, director of underwriting and active underwriter, ArgoGlobal.

Barnes joined ArgoGlobal in 2011 as a professional indemnity class underwriter and brings over 15 years of underwriting experience.

In his new role, Barnes will be responsible for the ongoing expansion and diversification of ArgoGlobal’s casualty portfolio.
