Arthur J Gallagher appoints non-exec director of UK operations
Arthur J Gallagher, the international division of Arthur J Gallagher & Co, has appointed Trevor Newbery as an independent non-executive director of Arthur J Gallagher UK, effective from 2 November 2015.
Newbery joins the firm from Argenta Syndicate Management, where he was a non-executive director. Prior to this, he was a partner at Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Group, overseeing its general insurance regulatory and internal audit practice.
In addition to his position on the Arthur J Gallagher (UK) board, Newbery will also be non-executive chairman of Pen Underwriting and chairman of the risk committee.

“His breadth of insurance and governance expertise will further inform and shape the implementation of our strategy to continually improve how we serve our customers as we strive to be the go-to broker and underwriter in each of the markets and geographies in which we operate.”
