Aspen Re, the Bermuda-based reinsurance segment of Aspen Insurance, has appointed Christian Dunleavy as head of global property catastrophe.
Dunleavy joins from Axis Re where he served as senior vice president, responsible for US property treaty, Caribbean property and workers compensation catastrophe business.
Dunleavy, who will be based in Bermuda, will report to Tom Meyer, chief underwriting officer, Aspen Bermuda. He succeeds Stefan Long who was promoted earlier in the year to head of Aspen Re, London.
