Assurant appoints customer service director in Europe

Assurant has appointed Ross Carson to its executive committee of Europe.

He will assume the role of customer service director of Assurant’s European operations, based in its UK headquarters. Carson will report to the president and CEO of Assurant Europe Andy Morris.

Carson will be responsible for enhancing Assurant’s operations, contact centres functions, and implementing innovative customer service solutions in Europe.

Carson has over 20 years of experience in the European business-to-business service provider industry.

Prior to this, he was the head of operations at Lifestyle Services Group, before being promoted to become Assurant Europe’s director of operations in 2013 when the UK mobile phone insurance provider was acquired by Assurant.

Carson said: “At Assurant my main objective is to ensure that the quality and levels of service that we provide exceed the customers’ expectations. The customer experience and customer journey are rapidly evolving in response to an increasingly connected world and technology advancements.

“I look forward to working with the executive team across Europe to meet these challenges and continue to increase Assurant’s focus on placing customers at the heart of our business.”

Morris added: “Ross has the skills and passion for putting the customer at the center of what we do, recognising that excellence in customer service is essential in our industry.

“Ross will be responsible for the optimisation and continuous improvement of all aspects of Assurant’s European operations and contact centers, ensuring that the transformational and innovative solutions that he implements will continually improve the customer experience. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our digital capabilities.”
