Atticus teams up with Brit on data quality platform

Insurance technology expert Atticus Associates has released its data quality platform, Atticus DQPro, with global specialty insurer Brit.

The platform has been built for the needs of the global re/insurance market, allowing insurers to more effectively identify, track and manage their data quality on a daily basis delivering significant operational, financial and regulatory benefits.

By integrating with their legacy source systems, DQPro enables insurers to create trusted data for further underwriting analysis, compliance and decision-making.

The platform is fully supported and gives business users the tools to take control of their data quality and exceptions while providing executives with a clear view of their organisation’s data health.

Nick Mair, co-founder and chief executive officer, Atticus Associates, said: “We have yet to talk to a Lloyd’s syndicate or general insurer that does not have data quality challenges, yet our own research has shown that 90 percent of them don’t have a dedicated data quality management tool despite the operational and regulatory impact of incorrect or unknown data.

“The majority are reliant on tactical exception reporting processes which are manpower intensive, ‘key man’ dependent, hard to support and which are themselves prone to errors.

He added: “DQPro is a market driven product with an exciting roadmap and an ever expanding library of data quality rules and checks for insurers. It is easy to implement and, with a set up time of less than two weeks, DQPro delivers immediate value and benefits.”
