Beazley boosts marine team

Specialist insurer Beazley has strengthened its UK marine team with the appointment of Tom Watson.

Watson, who will be based in London, joins as hull underwriter and will report to Clive Washbourn, head of marine.

According to Beazley, Watson is a 35 year veteran of hull and liability underwriting for small commercial craft and fishing vessels with a specialist international marine mutual.

Washbourn said: "Tom has a thorough knowledge and deep understanding of the marine hull sector and I am delighted to welcome him to Beazley. His expertise and passion complements our team and will enhance our underwriting practice within the hull market.”
