Berkshire Hathaway hires healthcare exec from CNA
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has appointed Stephen Dunn of CNA as vice president, Healthcare Professional Liability. He will be based in New York.
Dunn joins BHSI with more than two decades in the healthcare insurance industry. Most recently he served as assistant vice president and Hospital Industry leader at CNA where he focused on allied facilities, physician groups and hospitals.
Prior to this, he held various healthcare underwriting positions at Zurich, AIG and Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company. He was also a healthcare broker at Willis, where he advised hospital and allied customers.
“With over 20 years of industry experience, Steve will play a critical role in advancing our healthcare strategy and collaborating with our customers and brokers to provide meaningful and creative solutions in a rapidly changing industry," said Leo Carroll, senior vice president, Healthcare Professional Liability, BHSI.
