Bermuda court rules in favour of PartnerRe

The Supreme Court of Bermuda has denied Italian investment company Exor’s request to disclose non-public information from PartnerRe.

On June 3, 2015, Exor filed a lawsuit against PartnerRe seeking to obtain customary beneficial ownership information.

PartnerRe said: “Exor’s application has been denied and EXOR has been ordered to pay PartnerRe’s costs. We are pleased with this outcome.”

Previously, the reinsurer had said: “Exor’s claims are without merit. We have complied with our obligations regarding the disclosure of shareholder information under applicable Bermuda and US laws.”
