BHSI boosts global property team with XL Catlin exec

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Chaman Aggarwal as vice president, property underwriting officer.

Based in Toronto, Aggarwal will work with Dean LaPierre, senior vice president, global property underwriting officer, BHSI and Cathy Miller, vice president, property underwriting officer to support the firm’s expanding worldwide portfolio.

Aggarwal joins from XL Catlin Canada, where he held leadership positions in the property group. Prior to this, he served as senior vice president, national energy construction practice leader, at Marsh in Houston, and vice president, property construction, at Liberty International Underwriters.

LaPierre said: "Chaman brings more than 35 years of property underwriting and engineering experience to BHSI. Chaman joins Cathy Miller, vice president, property underwriting officer and I in supporting our rapidly expanding property portfolio worldwide.”
