BHSI lures ACE and Zurich execs
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has expanded its executive and professional lines leadership team with a number of appointments.
Danielle Librizzi has been appointed as senior vice president (SVP), head of professional liability. She will oversee BHSI’s professional liability and cyber insurance underwriting in the US. Librizzi joins from CNA Financial Corp.
Will Fahey will take the role of SVP, head of commercial executive lines and will lead BHSI’s expansion in the US commercial executive lines market. He comes to the job with two decades of industry experience, most recently as SVP at Zurich North America.
Joe Schrancz has been appointed vice president (VP), head of architects and engineers (A&E) professional liability. Schrancz will spearhead BHSI’s entrance into A&E professional liability and will head the underwriting of this product line in the US. He was most recently assistant director, design professional, at Catlin Insurance.
Additionally, Maura Verrone has been appointed as VP, head of private and not for profit, executive and professional lines. She will lead BHSI’s move into middle market executive lines, focusing on private company and not-for-profit risks in the US. Verrone joins BHSI with 27 years of industry experience and most recently served as national underwriting manager for professional risk at ACE Commercial Risk Service.
