BHSI lures Clyde & Co exec

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Paul Emerson as head of liability claims in Canada.

He joins BHSI from the law firm of Clyde & Co Canada, where he specialised in coverage advice and litigation, commercial litigation and providing legal defence in professional and general liability claims.

David Crowe, chief claims officer, BHSI, said: "As an attorney with extensive experience handling casualty, executive and professional lines claims, Paul will play an integral role leading our liability claims operation in Canada, and will be a pivotal part of our product development, underwriting and customer relationship teams.”
