BMS lures Cooper Gay reinsurance director

Re/insurance broker BMS has appointed Steven Herbert as director of its specialty reinsurance division.

He will report to Andrew Hitchings, managing director of BMS specialty reinsurance.

Herbert joins BMS from Cooper Gay where he was a director of the reinsurance division as well as head of LMX and offshore energy. He has previously held senior positions at AJG, the Park Group, and as a director of Aon’s marine reinsurance division.
