Brokerslink director becomes foreign trade advisor

Jacqueline Legrand, regional director EMEA for Brokerslink, has been appointed as Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France, a foreign trade advisor, in Portugal by the French Prime Minister.

Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France are a network of business people spread across 146 countries who work for the development of French trade globally.

Legrand, who is also the chief executive officer of broker MDS Portugal, will drive the development of commercial relationships between France and Portugal.

Legrand said: “The promotion of international commerce is essential if the global insurance industry is to thrive and develop new initiatives. By inviting new French talent to learn about the challenges faced and opportunities presented in Portugal we can build closer bonds that will increase cross-border cooperation while supporting the personal development of the next generation of insurance leaders.”
