Capsicum Re expands analytics team with hire

Capsicum Re has hired Maryam Abdullah from Beach & Associates to join its analytics team.

Abdullah will work with Stephen Rix, newly appointed head of analytics. She will also work with Matt FitzGerald, a managing partner, to help produce capital solutions business.

Abdullah joins the firm from Beach & Associates, where she was senior vice president (SVP) or the capital advisory and structured reinsurance division. Prior to this, she was SVP in Guy Carpenter’s capital solutions and business development division.

Maryam is a highly experienced actuary and broker, and her capital advisory insight will be incredibly useful as we develop bespoke capital products for our customers.”
