Charles Taylor appoints chair

The former chair and chief executive officer (CEO) of Kiln has joined Charles Taylor as chairman.

Edward Creasy will succeed Rupert Robson following the release of the company’s half year results on August 28, 2015.

Creasy was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Charles Taylor on January 1, 2014.  He currently holds a number of other senior non-executive directorships.

He is also a member of the Council of Lloyd's Market Supervision and Review Committee and was previously a director of the Lloyd's Franchise Board.

Gill Rider, the senior director who led the search process, said: “We agreed unanimously that Edward's senior level board experience and extensive knowledge of the London insurance market makes him the ideal person to chair Charles Taylor."
