Chaucer adds to international property treaty team with appointment

Chaucer, the specialty Lloyd’s insurance group, has appointed Christopher Holliday as senior class underwriter in the treaty division.

Holliday will write property catastrophe, pro-rata and per risk treaty reinsurance. He joins the firm from Trans Re, where he managed an international property treaty portfolio of large multi-national clients, predominantly in the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and South Africa.

Holliday will work as part of Chaucer’s specialty property treaty team, led by James Holliss.

"Chris’ underwriting expertise and commercial influence will augment our growing presence in the international property treaty market,” said Paul Blight, treaty practice head, Chaucer Syndicate 1084.

“His new role will broaden and strengthen both our portfolio and client relationships – I am pleased to welcome Chris to the team.”

Holliday added: “I am delighted to join Chaucer’s renowned international property treaty team, and I look forward to working with James Holliss and his colleagues to deliver first class products and services to Chaucer’s property treaty brokers and clients.”
