Chilton to head AJG International
Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) has appointed Grahame Chilton as chief executive officer (CEO) of the company’s UK-based international brokerage division.
He succeeds David Ross who left the company to become CEO of Towergate.
Chilton is best known for founding and developing the Benfield Group. He has previously served as chairman of Aon Benfield. Since December 2013, he has been working in partnership with AJG leading the company’s reinsurance intermediary joint-venture, Capsicum Re.
J Patrick Gallagher Jr, chairman, president and CEO of AJG, said: “Chily has an outstanding reputation and proven track record as a successful industry leader who understands how to balance the entrepreneurial culture that our business is built on, with the successful running of a large scale organisation.
