Contego targets LatAm from new Miami office
Contego Underwriting, a subsidiary of Pen Underwriting, is opening of a new office in Miami, which will support and service to clients across Latin America.
The firm said the move recognises the growing importance of Miami as a hub for the rapidly expanding Latin American market and will provide local brokers with enhanced access to London market capacity and underwriting expertise in the international plant and machinery field.
Anthony Willsher, underwriter and founding director at Contego, has relocated from London to lead the new Miami operation, which is now open for business.
Willsher said: “Latin America has been a key part of Contego’s business for over 25 years and our investment in creating a local underwriting hub reflects the importance we place on being visible, accessible and responsive to the fast-evolving needs of our ultimate clients.
