CTA strengthens energy loss adjusting team
Charles Taylor Adjusting (CTA) has strengthened its energy loss adjusting team in London with the appointment of Mike Riley and Nigel Baskerville.
Riley, who has worked in the London insurance market for thirty five years, with his earlier career in the Lloyd’s Market including broking, underwriting and the handling of major market claims, joins as director of Energy. For the last eighteen years, he has worked as an energy loss adjuster, specialising in physical damage claims involving mobile offshore drilling units, FPSOs, platforms and pipelines for both construction and operating risks.
Baskerville joins as senior engineer. He has 24 years’ experience in mechanical engineering processes and offshore oil and gas related industries. He has worked with a wide range of leading offshore energy businesses and brings a wealth of offshore design and fabrication engineering and subsea design experience.
CTA has also appointed Carmen Olmeda as assistant energy adjuster. Olmeda joins from the LOM Official Laboratory, a centre of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
“Charles Taylor Adjusting has built a reputation as a leading international energy loss adjuster, handling some of the world’s largest onshore and offshore claims. We are committed to retaining and building on our position in the market by the appointment of both experienced loss adjusters and engineers and to the unearthing of talented young engineers, which we see as fundamental to our continuing to provide a high quality service to our instructing principals. I am delighted that Mike, Nigel and Carmen have chosen to join Charles Taylor Adjusting and certain that their combination of experience in the London insurance market, offshore engineering and academic excellence will add further strength to our energy team in London,” said Trevor De La Salle, managing director of Energy.
