DLA Piper expands insurance and reinsurance expertise

Law firm DLA Piper has announced the appointment of William Marcoux as partner and head of its insurance sector transactions and regulation practice.

Marcoux last role was at Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he was co-head of Dewey's insurance sector group and a member of its executive committee.

Sir Nigel Knowles, joint chief executive officer of DLA Piper, said that Marcoux’s appointment offered a great opportunity for the law firm to strengthen their sector capability.

“Bill's experience and relationships are truly global, and we look forward to working with him to develop existing client relationships and also to provide him with the platform to develop new relationships in this key market segment for the firm," he said.
