Dual opens Netherlands office
Dual, the underwriting arm of the Hyperion Insurance Group, has opened its first Netherlands office to write marine and energy business.
Harry Mulder, the former chairman of the Marine Committee of the Dutch Association of Insurance, will lead the underwriting team.
The team also includes senior underwriter, Abdes El-Häidouri, an underwriter in the Dutch marine market, and claims manager Frenk Villerius, who has over 20 years’ marine claims experience.
The new office will form part of the group’s new global marine and energy practice led by Bernt Hellman. The business is backed by CNA Hardy’s Lloyd’s syndicate and other Lloyd’s markets.

They have a wealth of experience and a superb reputation in the Dutch market and are a welcome first addition to Dual’s global marine and energy practice. DUAL will bring the high quality products to the Dutch insurance market and the best business to our carriers.
