Ecclesiastical hires Covéa exec

Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical has appointed Chris Withers as property investors development manager.

Withers joins from Covéa Insurance where he served as head of distribution for commercial lines, with responsibility for launching a new real estate product.

Prior to this, Withers spent 17 years at RSA in various business development roles before spending five years working within its property investors team.

Kevin Simmons, Ecclesiastical’s regional director for London & South East, said: “Chris brings with him a huge amount of knowledge and experience of the London and regional property investors markets.

“His appointment as property investors development manager further underlines our commitment to this sector, and he will be working alongside Geoff Merriman to build our property investors centre of excellence and increase our focus on this business from regional brokers.”

Withers added: “I’m excited to join the property investors team within Ecclesiastical Insurance. I look forward to bringing my many years of experience in the industry to the business and getting out to the regions to meet with our key brokers.”
