Equinox targets Netherlands with Atradius hire
Equinox Global, the Lloyd’s cover holder specialising in trade credit insurance, has opened an office in the Netherlands and has appointed Frank Masteling as head of Equinox Netherlands.
He will report to Mike Holley, chief executive officer of Equinox Global. Masteling will be responsible for building Equinox’s trade credit business across the Netherlands and overseeing all aspects of its offering to clients.
Masteling joins from Atradius where he was head of special products Northern Europe, underwriting single situation policies, XOL-policies, structured credit and political risks. Prior to this he spent nearly a decade at Rabobank in a number of senior roles focusing on credit analysis and risk management.
Holley said: “The Netherlands is an interesting and unique market which offers exciting opportunities for a specialist trade credit insurance company such as Equinox Global. The new office will allow Equinox to bring the benefits of bespoke, client orientated, specialist trade credit products and a more flexible approach to doing business in the Dutch market. Frank’s market presence, knowledge and expertise will be vital to the success of this new venture.”
