Everest Re hires Hamilton exec as chief administrative officer

Bermuda holding company Everest Re has appointed Bill Thygeson as chief administration officer of Everest Insurance, reporting directly to Jonathan Zaffino, president.

He joins Everest Insurance from Hamilton Insurance, where he most recently served as chief operating officer where he oversaw the build out of the US insurance platform and had direct responsibility for a variety of operational and administrative functions.

Thygeson is responsible for several facets of the company’s operational platform with a core focus on technology and its impact on our business processes for underwriting and claims, and will also assume a variety of administrative functions.

Prior to Hamilton, Thygeson spent a decade working for AIG in similar operational capacities and began his career in the banking industry.
