First reinsurer launches in Nepal
The first reinsurer has been formed in Nepal from a terror insurance pool set up in 2003.
Equity participation will come partly from the Government of Nepal and partly from a number of insurance companies.
According to local news sources, the company has a paid-up capital of Rs2.1 billion and authorised capital of Rs5 billion.
The office is based at Battisputali, Old Baneshwor, in Kathmandu.
