Former Gen Re exec joins US Risk

Managing general agency US Risk Insurance Group has appointed John Daum an executive vice president for its New York office.

Daum began his career as a reinsurance broker  in London and worked for General Re, Orion Capital and several reinsurance brokers including EW Blanch. He also launched Lockton Re’s initial entrance into the US market.

At US Risk, Daum will focus on overall strategy for the group as well program development. In addition, he will assist Advocate Reinsurance Partners expand their presence on the east coast.
