Former MS Amlin CUO starts work at Pioneer Underwriters

The new group director of underwriting at Pioneer Underwriters has commenced his role.

Graeme Rayner joins from MS Amlin where, prior to Mitsui Sumitomo’s acquisition of Amlin, he served as chief underwriting officer of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Underwriting and as Active Underwriter of MSIG’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 3210. He reports to CEO Darren Doherty.

Before joining MSIG in 2011, Rayner had been managing director of QBE’s specialty division.

“Graeme will play a pivotal role in executing Pioneer’s strategy of international growth built through leveraging our first class business infrastructure and high quality underwriting talent. It is a pleasure to have him on board,” Doherty said.
