Gen Re introduces critical illness insurance start-up package

Gen Re, a property/casualty and life/health reinsurer, and subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, has created a critical illness (CI) insurance start-up package for life and health insurance carriers in North America trying to enter the market.

The ‘CI Complete’ solutions offering provides resources and tools for product development, pricing, underwriting and marketing.

Stephen Rowley, vice president and senior account executive at Gen Re, said: “CI Complete enables carriers to get to market faster than ever while allowing them the flexibility to customize their offering through a variety of choices and variables.
