The chief executive officer (CEO) and president of reinsurer General Re Life Corporation, Steve Mannik, has revealed he will retire in the first quarter of 2016.
He will be succeeded by Vincent DeMarco, who currently serves as corporate actuary and head of operations for the firm. Additionally, in the interim he has been promoted to president of General Re Life Corporation.
Tad Montross, CEO of General Re, said: “Steve’s contributions to our US life/health business have been significant; he leaves a company with a talented staff, a disciplined underwriting culture and a focus on the future.
“We wish him all the best in his retirement, and look forward to the contributions Vincent will make in his new role.”
