Generali boosts board

Italian insurer Generali has strengthened its board with the appointment of Flavio Cattaneo as a member.

Cattaneo is a member of the board of Telecom Italia, Cementir Holding and NTV. Over his career, he has held the position of chief executive officer (CEO) of Terna and chairman and CEO of Fiera Milano.

The board has boosted its remuneration committee by designating Jean Renè Fourtou as a new member and appointing Ornella Barra as chairwoman.

Giuseppe Catalano was appointed secretary of the board of directors. Catalano has gained significant experience in the board of directors of several companies and has served as secretary of the board of directors of Indesit Company since 2005.
