Greenlight Capital poaches Guy Carp exec

Greenlight Capital Re has boosted its team with a Guy Carpenter executive, a BF Reinsurance Underwriters executive and a Southport Re executive.

Tim Adair and Cliff Dunigan join the reinsurer’s underwriting team. Both will report directly to chief underwriting officer Brendan Barry.

Adair joins from Guy Carpenter, where he was a managing director since 2005. Prior to Guy Carpenter, Adair spent 15 years at Aon Re in a variety of roles, most recently as senior vice president.

Dunigan joins from BF Reinsurance Underwriters, a subsidiary of W R Berkley Corporation, where he was a senior vice president since 2007.

James McNichols has joined as the reinsurer’s new chief actuarial officer. He replaces Claude Wagner, who resigned from the position at the end of June 2014.

Previously, he was chief actuarial officer at Southport Re. Prior to joining Southport Re, he was a consulting actuary at Aon Global Risk Consulting from 2007-2011.
