Broker Guy Carpenter has appointed Tim Gardner as chief executive officer (CEO) of US operations.
Based in New York, Gardner will lead the US operations team to advance its growth trajectory and deliver on key strategic priorities.
Most recently, Gardner served as head of sales for Marsh’s international division where, according to Guy Carpenter, he was instrumental in building out Marsh’s analytics sales team and capability, and integrating analytics across the firm’s global footprint and product lines.
He succeeds Andrew Marcell, the former US operations head, who recently joined Aon Benfield as head of strategy.
“Tim’s breadth of experience will serve him well as Guy Carpenter positions itself to continue to lead the industry,” said Alexander Moczarski, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter.
Gardner said: “I look forward to rejoining the Guy Carpenter leadership team and making many positive contributions to further strengthen the business and its industry-leading position.”
