Hamilton Underwriting poaches Hardy exec

Hamilton Underwriting, the managing agency of Lloyd’s Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, has appointed Adrian Daws as deputy active underwriter and head of specialty.

Daws has more than 15 years of industry experience, with 13 years spent underwriting specialty classes of business. He joins Hamilton Underwriting from Hardy (Underwriting Agencies), where he held the position of head of specialty lines for seven years.

Daws will report to Trevor Carvey, active underwriter.

Dermot O’Donohoe, chief executive officer of Hamilton Underwriting, said Carvey will help to diversify Syndicate 3334’s portfolio.
