The Hanover Insurance Group has revealed that its executive vice president, specialty insurance, Andrew Robinson has decided to leave the company.

Robinson’s resignation is effective September 1, 2016, and his role will be filled temporarily by Jack Roche, who is currently the executive vice president, business insurance, while the company said it assesses its strategic needs.

“We remain committed to grow and expand our domestic specialty capabilities," said Joseph Zubretsky, president and chief executive officer at the company.

"We thank Andrew for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future. We are in good hands with Jack, who has an extensive background, subject matter expertise and proven leadership track record in commercial lines.

“With Dick Lavey heading personal lines and the rest of the management team in place, we have the leadership depth to continue to serve our agents and customers well and drive superior shareholder returns."
